The 'arc' building, Hull
Wind and solar power electricity generators on the east side of the arc building at the junction of Queen Street and Blanket Row. The arc building is home to The Humber Centre for Excellence in the Built Environment. LinkExternal link While I applaud this organization's aims, in my opinion the building itself is not a good advertisement for what they're trying to do. The triangular profile of this experimental building makes the interior space unsuitable for most purposes and the blades of the wind turbines never seem to move at all, giving the impression at least that they're probably all broken.
