Stock Dove (Columba oenas), Craigleith, Edinburgh
Stock Doves are not normally suburban creatures, preferring farmland with established woodland, but a ready supply of food in garden feeding stations and a corridor of established trees from the Western General Hospital to the Botanic Gardens is enough to have recently attracted in at least one pair.
NT2274 : Looking North on Craigleith Hill Crescent The "new build" is on the site which once housed engineering drawing offices for Ferranti/GEC Ferranti in 1980s (I forget which precise incarnation ). Multiple incarnations later Leonardo occupy the legacy sites (original buildings long since gone) at Crewe Toll.
