NZ0310 : Bridleway north to Thwaite

taken 16 years ago, near to Scargill, County Durham, England

Bridleway north to Thwaite
Bridleway north to Thwaite
Few of the footpaths north of the Stang Forest are clear on the ground, and this bridleway is no exception. Having guessed the right gate to go through, the route lies northwards down a gentle slope with a shallow valley off to the left, heading for a ruined house and then the hamlet of Thwaite itself.
