NZ0310 : Ruin at Thwaite

taken 16 years ago, near to Scargill, County Durham, England

Ruin at Thwaite
Ruin at Thwaite
Above the hamlet of Thwaite lies an old farmhouse next to the bridleway. Unusually for abandoned and derelict houses in this area, the remains of a front garden are clear, with two gateposts still standing and an enclosed grassy area showing signs of having better soil than the surrounding pasture.
