The 'Hundred Year Stone'
The 'Hundred Year Stone'
One half of the 'Hundred Year Stone' by Peter Randall-Page. This stone was cut to mark one hundred years of the National Trust and lies on the shore of Derwent Water on Calfclose Bay. Walla Crag can be seen in the background, its height in feet is easy to remember for those with a poor memory for numbers, it is 1234 feet above sea level.
