The "Cage", Great Missenden
Situated in the High Street near the Fire Station, it is a small brick-built edifice which was the overnight accommodation for many miscreants, drunks, rowdies and other minor nuisances in the village. In earlier times, it may even have housed highwaymen and footpads. Once called the Parish Pound, it was restored by the local Parish Council in 1896. Its postcode is HP16 0BB.
