Radlett: Flint Cottages
Prior to the Midland Railway arriving in Radlett and building the station in the 1860s, the settlement was nothing more than a few buildings serving the local estates of the landed gentry. These fine flint and brick cottages date from 1852 and so pre-date the railway. They were built by the Phillimore family, presumably to house estate workers.
