This is part of the boulder field at the eastern end of Lake Coumshingaun (see image S3210 : Lake Coumshingaun, Comeragh Mountains, Co. Waterford). The lake is an impressive corrie lake left over from the last ice age. In the distance is Croughaun Hill (grid reference S379 110). It is about 5 km away and has a summit height of 391 metres.
