River Severn at Atcham
Looking towards the old Atcham bridge, on the banks of the River Severn at Atcham. The river does flood here but it was also known as a low point for crossing.
The old bridge no longer carries traffic.
Architect was George Steuart (1782). The mansion is a 3-storey block, linked to pavillions on either side, and with a classical front portico the full height of the main house.
