NO5634 : Tulips

taken 10 years ago, near to Carnoustie, Angus, Great Britain

As daffodils pass the tulips move to centre stage in the garden.

All of the tulips are red this year in previous years they have switched from red to yellow. A questioner on gardeners question time complained of a similar problem a few years back. The expert panel unanimously agreed that this was impossible. I can say for sure that it is not, but I can't say why?
