Keysworth Crossing
Keysworth Crossing
The level crossing gates on Keysworth Drive have changed a bit in 3 years, see SY9389 : Keysworth Crossing, Wareham, Dorset. A permanent black barrier (with combination lock) has been erected in front. Beyond is land privately owned by the Drax family of Charborough Park. There are no warning bells or flashing lights - this is a 'UWC', User Worked Crossing. As it is accessing private land only the landowner and other authorised people are allowed to use it. They must use the telephone to contact the signallers to find out if it is safe to cross or not, and to inform the signallers when they have crossed.
