Forest Fence.
Forest Fence.
The high visibility fence is there to alert grouse, mainly black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) to its presence and avoid deaths by flying into the fence. The fence is protecting, as well as moorfowl, a new scots pine wood. The peak is Creag Dubh near Newtonmore.
