Cornish hedge on Pentire Point West
The stone built Cornish hedge is a regular feature of the Cornish landscape and often remains when it is no longer required to enclose fields. This is the case here where this part of the headland is no longer farmed. At this time of the year it is beautified by a dense covering of Thrift or Sea Pink (Armeria maritima), for which this headland is renowned.
