Tram at Middleton (Lingwell Road)
Lingwell Road was where the Route 12 trams terminated before the 1949 extension to join this route with that to Belle Isle. Even after circular working had started, cars would usually halt here for a couple of minutes for crews' 'personal needs', which could include fetching a pie from the nearby shop.
