Monsal Dale Viaduct from Monsal Head
Monsal Dale Viaduct from Monsal Head
The famous view from above the road leading down from Monsal Head into Monsal Dale. The winding valley of the River Wye can be seen beyond the viaduct. It must have made a wonderful sight in the days when express steam trains rushed out of the tunnel in the hillside to the left, crossed the viaduct and then followed the side of the valley to Miller's Dale and eventually to Manchester.
