Martello Tower at Skerries, north County Dublin

Martello tower, c.1805, on a circular plan with tapered profile, having projecting machicolation above raised entrance. ROOF: Corbelled stone roof. WALLS: Limestone ashlar. OPENINGS: Square headed opening; limestone ashlar reveals; steel door, c.1990; former openings now blocked up.
