All Saints, Girsby
All Saints, Girsby
Simple stone built church dating from 1838. The church was built at the expense of Henry Collingwood Blackett of Sockburn Hall on the other side of the river. He had ordered the demolition of the original Sockburn church to create a 'romantic ruin' in the grounds of his house, and provided worshippers with this new church instead.
