St. Peter's, Ashburnham parish church
St. Peter's, Ashburnham parish church
The shot looks askew, but a look at the graves to the left which show it to be true. The tower is medieval, but the nave and chancel were rebuilt in the 17th century. The wonderful interior has a classical west gallery, elaborate marble tombs and ironwork from the days when it was smelted throughout the Weald. The church is next to Ashburnham Place which is now a Christian Conference centre.
