Church of St John the Baptist, Wellington
"The best part of the church is its red sandstone tower of good ashlar. Tall, sturdy and with the stair-turret rising high and placed in the Totnes position - i.e. the middle of the south side." (Pevsner, "South & West Somerset", 1958 - for reference, the tower at Totnes is shown in SX8060 : St Mary's church, Totnes). More details of the C15 church, which is right at the northeastern edge of the town, are at LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . Seen here from the High Street.
