All Saints church > Link is situated on high ground, on the edge of the village and set back from the road. The church has a round tower of Norman or Saxon origins. Nave and chancel date from the 13th century and the south aisle was added during the 14th century. The church was extensively restored in the 19th century > Link and besides the (restored) Norman font, a C13 piscina, several poppy-headed benches and the C17 pulpit > Link nothing much else has survived. There are a number of memorials to members of the Suckling family > Link - lords of Woodton Hall for many centuries, including an alabaster effigy of Ann Suckling > Link who died in 1653 and was the great-great-grandmother of Horatio Nelson. The south aisle east window is noteworthy for the medieval glass it contains in its reticulated tracery, depicting St Catherine (with her wheel emblem) > Link and St Margaret > Link.
