Our Lady of the Isles

This pristine and very new-looking statue recently celebrated its half-centenary, having been commissioned by the Roman Catholic Church and sculpted in white granite by Hew Lorimer in 1956, and consecrated on 15th August 1958 by Bishop Kenneth Grant. It has Historic Scotland Grade B listing.
