Originally the Commercial Hotel then renamed the Tunnel Tavern then finally The Gas Light
It was one of the oldest, if not the oldest pub in Jarrow (200 years old?)
Demolished 22nd September 2008 to make way for the New Tyne Crossing (Vehicular Tunnel number 2)
