The statue to Charles Mark Palmer overlooking the River Tyne at the Riverside Park in Jarrow
It was originally erected in 1904 at Clayton Street, Jarrow
It was reallocated in 1987 to the riverside to make way for the new Palmer Community Hospital
In 2007 it was reallocated again across from the Town Hall in Grange Road to make way for the New Tyne Crossing
