The almost vertical strata which almost form a barrier across the Liddell Water, and the ones to the right at the edge of the river, are the remnants of the upper layers of the anticline in NY4377 : Penton Linns, most of which have been eroded away. This is looking downstream along strike. NY4377 : Penton Linns is the reciprocal view.
