The Jarrow Entrance/Exit to the Cyclist and Pedestrian Tunnels
The Cyclist and Pedestrian Tunnels between Jarrow and Howdon were opened in July 1951.
The escalators were the longest in the world when opened and are still the world's longest wooden escalators.
