SJ1888 : Mast on Hilbre Island

taken 16 years ago, 3 km from West Kirby, Wirral, England

Mast on Hilbre Island
Mast on Hilbre Island
I'm not sure of the purpose of this mast, but the number of pieces of equipment on it suggests that it is still in use. The mast has a damaged bench mark cut into its concrete base. The Welsh coast can be seen across the Dee estuary.
