NY7806 : Traces of old quarries

taken 15 years ago, near to Nateby, Cumbria, England

Traces of old quarries
Traces of old quarries
The Explorer map shows "disused quarries" at this point on the map, but the only trace left is a couple of slight dips in the ground and a few boulders on the surface. Presumably the quarries were infilled with farm rubble or similar and left to grass over.
