Rockfall, Redgate Beach, Torquay
This was one of Torquay's best and most popular beaches before it was officially closed because of rockfalls: SX9364 : Cliffs above Redgate Beach A massive block, left, rests on demolished concrete defences. People still visit the beach. Access is possible, with care, down the path from Walls Hill, top left: SX9364 : Redgate Beach from Walls Hill, Torquay, Devon taken 1964 At low tide people get round from Anstey's Cove, or land from boats. This photo was taken on an October afternoon but in summer the beach is a suntrap. A red speck below the sunlit cliffs, upper left, is a member of a group of rock-climbers.
What surface manifestations are there of 'Kent's Cavern'? It sounds a great attraction but has yet to feature on GEOGRAPH. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kents_Cavern
