The Old Man of Hoy
The Old Man of Hoy
Despite its remote location on the west coast of Hoy, the Old Man is one of the most recognisable features anywhere on the coast of the British Isles. It became famous in 1966 when Chris Bonington's ascent was televised. The sandstone stack stands 450 feet high.
