NT6906 : Scottish-Northumbrian Border Crossing

taken 15 years ago, 3 km from Lethem, Scottish Borders, Scotland

Scottish-Northumbrian Border Crossing
Scottish-Northumbrian Border Crossing
Fluttering flags flanking an inscribed monolith at Carter Bar (418m). The stones are not so easy for tourists to take as souvenirs - earlier signs, particularly for Scotland, tended to vanish at regular intervals. The flags are of Scotland and Northumberland.
