Looking towards the southern edge of North Plantation on the southern border of NY6967 (that part of the plantation marked on both the LR87 and OL43 maps has been cleared, and trees have been planted to the south of the area marked on the maps - see Link. Beyond the plantation are East Cawfields {in front of the next plantation in line with the Wall, and south of NY7167 : Cleughfoot Farm (photo by Oliver Dixon)} with the NY7367 : Hexagon Plantation and Melkridge Common (photo by Oliver Dixon) beyond. On the horizon is the line of Hadrian's Wall from NY7467 : Winshield Crags east past Hotbank Crags and Housesteads and on towards Sewingshields.
