taken 19 years ago, near to Cambo, Northumberland, England

Bastle house, Cambo
Bastle house, Cambo
A 16th century bastle house it has also been a shop and a post office. The lintel above what was a shop window is marked "J.T. 1818". As a bastle house it is unusual in that it was built with three floors rather than the more usual two.
