TM4598 : View from the end of the platform
taken 15 years ago, near to St Olaves, Norfolk, England
View from the end of the platform
This view was taken in southerly direction from the end of the platform at Haddiscoe station >
Link. The remains of a dismantled railway bridge on the closed East Suffolk line can be seen to both sides of the railway tracks. The abutment at left presently forms the boundary of a garden which once used to be the location of Haddiscoe high level station. The bridge used to carry the East Suffolk line (Beccles to Yarmouth Southtown mainline) into Haddiscoe high level station - so called because of its close proximity to Haddiscoe railway station which is presently served by the Wherry Line. The two stations used to be linked - the link being controlled by the Haddiscoe Junction signal box.
