Cerne Abbas Giant
This view of the giant is from over 2km away to the west, from the ridge above Wancombe Bottom on the opposite side of the Cerne valley in ST6401. The photographer was close to the northern part of Cerne Park Pale at an elevation of approx 225m whereas the giant is at an elevation between 150 and 200m. This means that we are looking down at the giant whereas normally one looks up at him from the view point close to the village. The field in the foreground is in ST6501 on Weam Common Hill
