This mansion, standing at the west corner of Belgrave Square, was designed by Robert Smirke in 1830-33 for the 1st Earl Brownlow. Of five spacious bays and three storeys with a Greek Doric porch. Grade I listed.
It is now the Portuguese Embassy.

The square was laid out from around 1826. Unusually, detached mansions were designed by separate architects for three of the corners.
