See J3370 : The Lagan Meadows walk, Belfast (8). Today’s walk takes us from the towpath (near the Stranmillis weir J3470 : Stranmillis weir, Belfast (1)) past the nature reserve J3370 : The Lagan Meadows walk, Belfast (9) and along the main part of the path down towards the Lagan near Newforge J3369 : The River Lagan near Newforge.
This wicket gate leads from a less-well defined path, off the path, towards a wooded area. Continue to J3370 : The Lagan Meadows walk, Belfast (12).
The Lagan Meadows, Belfast :: J3470

The Lagan Meadows is a public park of 120 acres administered by Belfast City Council. It’s more than that however. In practice it’s a piece of completely rural countryside preserved in the middle of the Stranmillis and Malone areas of suburban south Belfast not far from the Lagan towpath. Although undulating most of it is fairly easy going but unassisted wheelchair users might have difficulty in some places.
