Taken from the launch, Muriel II, which passes between Belle Island (extreme right of picture) and the tiny Maiden Holme. The Lilies of the Valley (small islands) can be seen towards the centre of picture. Late afternoon scene at 16.21; note the direction of the shadows on the distant fells.
