NZ2024 : Communications mast on Brusselton top. Close by, and almost on the site of the Trig Pt marked 222m, there used to be an octagonal tower known as Brusselton Folly. Between WWI and WWII I have been told it was used as a dancehall by my parents generation; my experience of it during and immediately after WWII was as a place where Easter Egg rolling and 'japing' ceremonies took place. It even figured in a local educational film, with a 'school field study group' receiving mental stimulaion sitting on the grass beside it. Other than these memories, written history and pictorial representations have proved very hard to come by. Has anyone got any leads to factual references please?
