St. Cuthbert's Church, Upper Denton
An early 12th century church consisting of a two bay nave and single bay chancel which was declared redundant in the late 1970s. It survives well and retains medieval fabric together with stonework removed from Hadrian's Wall. The church is believed to contain an arch from Birdoswald Roman fort. See
