Fungus by decaying stump
Fungus by decaying stump
I photographed the diseased beech tree earlier this year SO6425 : Diseased tree near Hartleton Farm entrance It has now been chopped down and the stump is slowly decaying. A pumpkin-coloured fungus grows in the soil nearby - my efforts to identify it correctly have been futile so if anyone knows what this is, please let me know.
