Fungus gills
Fungi which have a stem with a cap on top which has gills, or lamellae, on the underside are known as gill fungi. Each gill is lined with spores which will eventually drop out and into air currents. Some will be borne away to new locations. These belong to SO6425 : Underside of pumpkin-coloured fungus. See also SO6425 : Pumpkin-coloured fungus which shows the stem and underside. It is possibly a honey fungus. See also SO6425 : Fungus by decaying stump
