This used to be a well farmed quiet afforested and sheep, cattle ranch without the soil erosion and hazards to normal life. Afforestation now might be the only answer remaining to rescue the land as a resource for people in years ahead as it had to be in TVA, much of Scotland, the rest of damaged Wales and some Old Roman Chariot quarried of England and no doubt will be for many African, Australian and South American ripped out countryside areas. Which is why Arnold's people have had to cut out so much of California to stabilize it, such a task facing Canada. Plenty of work! to be done, much water resource and soil plant life to be saved for people to drink and eat.
