Ruins and new life
Ruins and new life
This is a landscape that will soon change for ever. The signs outside declare that this former research site has been acquired for development.
The tumbledown green sheds are remnants of this research site which I am informed covered 14.4ha (35.5 acres) and still contains numerous other buildings such as about 10 - 15 other sheds, a toilet block, a caretaker's house complete with stables, outdoor loo and summer house. Apparently there's also a small grain silo and some minor office sheds. (Thanks to "Harry" for the information on the extent of the remains).
The flora here is quite stunning - I wonder how much will survive the redevelopment.
