Entrance to Swindon Designer Outlet, Swindon
This is the main entrance to the mall for visitors using the north car park. The lighting is a seasonal indicator. The mall occupies part of what was once the Great Western Railway factory which lasted from 1835 to 1986 when it closed. Thankfully there were sufficient people with the imagination to see the potential of the deserted buildings and many of the old metal-bashing workshops now have a new life as a wide range of retail stores.
