Walkers' tunnel in Piercebridge
Walkers' tunnel in Piercebridge
This delightful little 'tunnel' in Piercebridge provides pedestrian access to the rear of houses and other buildings on the east side of the village. From a walkers' perspective, it also gives access to footpaths that run east along the north bank of the River Tees and north to Carlbury. The steps on the right-hand side of the picture provide pedestrian access to the bridge over the River Tees.
