Shadowy figures
Shadowy figures
A walking group set out to find a suitable picnic spot, wondering if they should have left the warmth of their living rooms on this freezing, foggy morning at May Hill summit. The trees were planted to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria and the land within the ditch was given to the parish 'for ever'. To see the clump of trees, which forms a landmark for miles around, see SO6523 : Grey sunrise over farmland
