Isles of Glencoe Hotel, Ballachulish
The Hotel has been extended since this photograph was taken.
The Hotel was built near the Slate Quarry at Ballachulish (now closed), the slate was taken by ship from the Quarry here, and used to roof many houses in Britain.
NN0858 : Looking north to Loch Leven. Dores anyone have a photo of the memorial tablet, where James Stewart was hanged in 1752 for the 'Appin Murder'? I believe it to be somewhere in the vicinity of the Ballachulish Hotel.
