From the RCAHMS survey:
"A rough stone structure and dyke lies in the dunes of West Links above the Black Rocks. The structure has one room and is constructed of rough stone pointed with light grey mortar. It is 6m east-west and 5m north-south with a doorway in the north wall. The north and south walls survive to a height of 1.70m, the east and west walls are a maximum of 1m high. A rough stone wall leads from the middle of the west wall to the sea and from the east wall into the dunes, the wall is in a variable state of preservation. This site is marked as Red House on the 1853 Edition of the Ordnance Survey."
