NZ0314 : Boldron Primitive Methodist Chapel

taken 15 years ago, near to Boldron, County Durham, England

Boldron Primitive Methodist Chapel
Boldron Primitive Methodist Chapel
As well as its religious functions, the chapel is used for meetings and events that don't need as large a space as NZ0314 : Boldron Village Hall, such as the local W.I. meetings. The Methodists seem a musical lot, and we are often treated to the merry sound of young minds being indoctrinated through song on a summer Sunday. This is the only building which has been built on the green, rather than behind walls on the south side, presumably pre-dating modern planning regulations.
