St Luke's Church and Garden

St Luke's Church was designed by Sir John Foster and was built between 1811 and 1831. On the 6th May 1941 the church was burnt out by an incendiary bomb. In 1968 the church and grounds were purchased from the Church of England, and they are maintained as a place of rest and tranquility as a memorial to those who died in the war.
